Difference in D-series alt.????
Somewhat stupid but couldn't find anything in the search. I have a intermitant power failure issue the car always runs when running, but I can tell when juice is low and then sometimes won't refire due to no juice.
I have replaced the battery that was my first guess so now I assume some how it's the Alternator. The stock d16z6 one on the motor swap I put in was bad so I had to use the old dx one from the other motor. Are all the d-series alternators the same. And does this seem like a odd thing for a alternator to sometimes work?? And sometimes not?
Only other guess's I have is I installed a mp3 deck and couldn't use the stock harness for power and what not due to the last owner. That or grounds??
Thanks for the help guys.

you can always look up the part numbers on http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com and compair them and any other OEM part you have a question about.
That's what I do.

As well as the helms when I get home just trapped at work. It's amazing how honda's with no juice really left in the battery can still make it 45 miles to work.
Now can it make the trip home!
