I know someone who just bought a new model Nissan 240SX, he says he can beat me in the quater mile, as far as I can tell it is stock. My 97 ITR has AEM CAI. Given equal drivers who would win 1/4 mile?

 

New model 240SX? They don't make a new model. The last model 240 they made in the states was in '98. If it is a stock S14, then don't worry, you will spank it in the quarter mile. But if it has the silva SR20DET engine(JDM), then you're in trouble. Just make sure it doesn't have a turbo before you race him.

 

what difference does it make if it does?Have fun and see what happens.I have beaten turbo 240's with the ka engine.I have never raced one with the sr20det though.

 

Even if it has a SR20DET I think it'll be a close race. It'll come down to the driver. But if it's the ka then you'll win hands down.

 

Eh,I wouldn't say that.There is a guy here with an sr20det in a 96 240.It has basic stuff exhaust, intake and an intercooler(front mount) since the motor bought didn't have one.It ran a 13.3@106.Like almost all turbo cars they are very strong top end.So,don't get dissapointed if he has an sr20 and beats you.It will be fun either way.
