P1 Automotive, 6 month update (kinda long) : OT
Sorry mods, but the few that care are in this forum.
P1 was officially incorporated on Dec 6 2002, and the building lease signed in early March 2003. Now I find myself, 6ish months later, sleep deprived and realizing how good I really had it at my old desk job . It will be a LONG time before I can say “I make a living at this” but hopefully one day, that will happen.
After reviewing this months books, we are officially in the black, for July, as of yesterday…!!!!!! (next month will be another challenge)
Yes, I know the equipment lease and dyno are not paid for (wish they were, fixed overhead is staggering) but from an accounting standpoint, we are slowly on the way to making this happen. It will be many months, if not years, before I can claim a “real” salary at doing this BUT, I didn’t plan for this to be easy and liquidating the “Hatchcrap” was/is the only reason that I’ve been able to do this without setting up house in the homeless shelter.
Anyway, Thanks to all for your support. Hopefully the 12 month update will include even better news.

P.S. I can't sphell

Keep at it Yack. You will do fine. My dad owned his own business for years and he told me it was a giant pain in the ***, but worth it especially if you enjoy what you do.. Keep us posted..
Members on the board should think about purchasing stuff through P1. Give the good guy some business..

Still need to get down there and check out the facilities. I have one pig in need of an 18 psi dyno run, and another brick in need of a wheel swap.

Hang in there man, nothing better than being your own boss while doing what you really love. Dont be like me, a gearhead with oil & gasoline running through his veins that is a construction worker! If you can make the sacrifice now, in the long run it will all be well worth it.
Yack I know me and about 3-4 guys will be coming down in the next couple weeks for some hard core dyno tuning. I can't wait for that.
