Default OEM LSD?

Hi I am putting the finishing touches on what my order from hmotorsonline will include. I am buying a H22 and cannot decide if I should get the factory LSD optional transmission for the extra $300 or wait a long long time until I can afford a Quaiffe.

I would rather just buy the OEM LSD but my concern is, do they wear out at all? I think LSDs require some form of upkeep to maintain them, is that true? If the JDM OEM LSD wears out I don't want to get screwed because I can't find the parts.

Or am I just being dumb and I shouldn't worry about the OEM LSD ever wearing out?

$300 for OEM LSD is good. Factory sealed units don't require mantinance. They will eventually wear out, but by that time you should have $800 saved for a Quaife.

Awesome, thanks! Any idea on the typical time it takes a factor lsd to go bad?
