Does the JDM Integra Type R front end conversion come with a different hood lock mechanism than the one on the US integra? Is the US version hood lock the same or different from the JDM front end conversion hood lock? This mechanism is located on the center beam of the radiator support.

Hmmm, i'm trying to recall without looking at my car...I think it's a US latch, you have to rotate it 180 degrees and use a second gen. cable to reach. But it may be a new latch, I can't remember what the deal was. backwards none the less, with the longer cable.

 

Anyone know for sure if the US version hood lock mechanism is used with the JDM front end conversion?

not "for sure" but i believe a '93 teg hood latch US works...

It could be used, but there is the actual lock which should of come with your kit.
