Bent Valves

Here's what happened... I was racing an ITR a few months ago, my 5th Gen had 6700 miles on it and I blew up my tranny speed shifting from 3rd to 4th (probably went to 2nd instead).
The Honda dealer (still under warranty
) found 8 loose bolts on my flywheel, bolts stripped out of my crankshaft, and my clutch had exploded.
Got it all done under warranty
but the car still idles kinda rough, almost as if I had cams in it. It shakes as if I had urethane bushings on my mounts.
Can it be some bent valves? Before I took it to the dealer, it sounded as if my valvestrain had took a dump. I never even suspected that it was my tranny.
The dealer says its fine but the shake was noticable to pretty much anyone that sat in the car.
I'm gonna get a compression check soon but whats normal readings for such a new motor? Its got like 15K miles now.
I wanna try and get it warrantied.

I work for a honda dealership myself i have seen this 3times on preludes.More then likely you do have bent valves. Do you have studder from 1900 to about 4000 fullthrottel then seems to clear up? And the fly wheel bolts didnt strip out mystlikely then just backed out mostly likely because of the over rev. I would take it back and have them do a leak down test. You prolly have bent valves if you did enuff damage then ty could have hit the piston hench a brandnew longblock from honda free of charge depenging on the dealer I have a few h22a4's because of it so i don't complain to much. Good Luck

Yeah, they did just re-thread the crank.

No, it doesn't studder at those revolutions. Only at idle. And would a leak down test be accurate enough for them to pinpoint something as little as a small leak between the valve seats?

You could have also made your counter balance shaft belt jump a few teeth also.i have seen that happen also, and the vibration from it is very noticable at idle.
