Tired of Illegal Window Tint Tickets? How about this trick---->
I just got my 3rd Illegal window tint ticket. And normally I have some School District Police Officers sign them off without me having to remove the tint. But I am running out of cops to ask to Im thinking of doing the following.
Instead of trying to find a "cop-friend" to sign of the ticket or removing the actual tint, why not make the window look clear. I was thinking of cutting a piece of plexi glass to the shape of the window and placing it on the door. Of course this will require the actual window that is tinted to be rolled all the way down so that the clear plexi glass just 'sits' right on top of it. The only problem that I can think of is, if they ask me to roll the window down
, then I think I will be in more trouble. But I still got a few more 'cop-friends' to try this trick on.

If i took that correctly how the **** do you plan on ever rolling down your window...
how about you just drive around with your windows down during the day, work for me... 2.5% all the way around, no tikects yet

What's the point in having fake clear windows when you can have real clear windows? How about removing the tint to make the windows look clear? Or do you mean you will just throw up the plexi glass when you see a cop? That sounds like it wouldn't work.

No, the whole point of this is for me to KEEP my window tint and get the ticket written off. In other words, when I go get the ticket written off, I want to try and make it seem that the windows are clear. The plexi-glass will not be permanent, just a "phoney-window". I will only have the plexi-glass for no more than a few minutes. Thats what I meant that in order for it to work, the real-glass window would be rolled all the way down. Then place the plexi-glass inside the openning where the window goes. All of this is just a thought and I wanted to know if any one else thought of it.
And yes I can always get my windows clear. But im not going to just because "it looks better" to other people.

This is the funniest **** I've heard in a while. I'd rather just pay the ticket before I went through all that trouble. Cops aren't idiots, they'd notice the window is plexi glass and not your normal window.
for comin up with that idea.

ummm, no. I was insinuating that since his tint was causing him so much grief in regards to tickets, maybe he should consider taking it off altogether. I have never been a fan of tint, and although it does keep cool, and I do have it on my Accord which is nice during the summer, I don't have it on my other 2 cars because I simply don't find it neccesary. That's what my A/C is for; to keep me cool. Cars do look cleaner without it unless you absolutely need it to cool down, then it's all good.

Why don't we just not get an exhaust, straight pipes, turbos, superchargers because those are all illegal too! We get tickets for all that!
Sike, ticket is a ticket. That's the price of hooking up your car. Gotta find ways around "State Inspections" (for states that have them) that's a pain, but hey it's a price you gotta pay.
About his tint. I've heard of that idea before. I've heard a car that is coming out has something like there, where there is the clear window that goes up and down, but then there's a plastic black (tint) that goes up and down on the inside of the window. Who knows.

I dont hear of many cops giving tickets for tint and exhausts here in NYC. I can see it happening if youre doing something else that warrants getting pulled over.

To answer his question, NO it would not work unless you know some place that could bend the plexiglass and make it curve and still look right, since the window glass is NOT a flat piece of glass.
why not break all the glass and call it a night
you can drive with the windows down but you might get a ticket for the tint whilst parked.

Again, the plexi-glass WILL NOT be permanent, only on for a few minutes. Then I can go back to driving around in my own tinted world.

you would be better off taking off your tint! if this is your third you can be sure to get e 4th 5th... if you keeep rolling with it. the cops in your area remember you and your car. if they know your are "f"ing with them they will just hit you harder next time.

I just get a friends car that is the same color and body as mine, swap the plates, and go get it signed off.
I have also just gone to the station with the tint and hoped that they wouldn't look... it worked once.
