OBD0 LSVTEC stuff into OBD2 Civic. Help please.
Right now we are working hard on doing this swap with the following parts:
CAR = 1996 EJ civic hatch
Engine setup:
OBD0 B16 intake manifold + TB + sensors
OBD1 B18a1 block
OBD0 B16 head
USDM ITR pistons
ARP head studs 73 ft-lbs
Rewired OBD0 distributor
OBD2a D16y7 engine harness
OBD 1 conversion harness
Kenji P28
The problems we are having is with the wiring. We are adapting the D16 harness, and everything is great except for a couple sensors:
The rear temperature sensor (by the knock sensor). It has 2 prongs coming from it. The D16y7 harness has one. Does anyone have any idea what to do?
And a sensor on the intake manifold/TB area is a 2 wire, but the D16 harness is a 3 wire. I think it was the MAP or TPS. But lets not worry about that now because we're probably going to be getting an OBD1 B16a Intake manifold + TB & sensors.
Does anyone have an idea of what we can do about the rear oil temp sensor? Perhaps change it with a 1 prong sensor?
Thanks. And any critique on our setup will be nice to hear. It is coming along well so far.. just slowly.

change the oil temp sensor to 1 wire. as for the 3 wire you dont need the orange wire just adapt it to the harness you got

Would the obd2 d series oil temp sensor work on the b series block?

yah I was thinking we should just forget the wire and use the correct plug.
I'm pretty sure the extra wire is just there to monitor whether the throttle position moves or not as the ecu tells it to. The other two are probably voltage and a ground right?
Thanks
