Default speedometer problems on my cluster

Today I was driving and my speedometer didn't show how fast I was going. I am trying to look for the speedometer cable but I can't find it. I've been experiecing these problems before. My speedometer would just drop to "0" when im going about 30 mph. This only happens if I start braking. I have a SOHC ZC, so if you guys know anything about it, please tell me how to fix it.

The cable comes out of the firewall and goes to the back of the tranny.

How does the cable come out? Is it on the back or on top of the tranny?

It is on the rear of the tranny close to your rear motor mount bracket. It just pops into the top of the tranny back there. Trace the strange cable that come out of the firewall to the left of the thorottle cable. That is your speedometer cable.
