Asylum Motorsports...Yea or Nea?
I'm looking at getting a body kit ( I'm expecting flames for this, but its a clean kit...nothing outragous or flashy), and Asylums has the peices I want.
Has anyone delt with Asylums?
Is fiberglass what I would want for a bumper? Is there any material that is better?
What kind of fitment should I expect? I went to Honda today to check on new OEM bumpers (f&r), fenders, and hood...that = $1000. Forget that.
BTW, I'm planning on getting the following parts:
Neo Buddy Club rear bumper
Neo Zeal sideskirts
Can't decide on the front:
Neo Type C-West OR
Neo Type M
What do you think?
Any suggestion on where I can get quailty OEM replacement parts for cheaper than the dealership? If so, I may scratch the kit, and go with a set of lips and WW RS sideskirts.
Thanks!

I ahve heard nothing good about them, did you check http://www.importfan.com ?
I have dealt with them...they suck...worst customer service. That is, if you can get them on the phone. I had ordered some stuff online from them and recieved nothing for a month. For the next month, I tried to get in touch with someone there. They NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. When they do answer the phone, as soon as they hear "I have a question about my order" They immediately say, call this number...Then you have to go through the same **** with the other number... THEY SUCK...
Yeah I've never heard one good thing about them. They were under heat for a while about advertising body kits that didn't even exist. Definitely stay away from them.
I waited 3 months for a front bumper formt hem and I would never deal with them again. Just stick to OEM. Even though it may cost more, you know that the parts will fit.
as you've probably already figured out, the people that i know that have dealt with them have not had good experiences. Only one person i know had to wait less than a month after payment for their shipment to come in.

I ordered some Z fenders at asylumms. As soon as i pressed the order button they charged my credit card. After 2 month they send 2 left fenders. One fender was also in a really bad condition, with a lot of "air bubbles" in it.
After hundreds of mails and calls, i talked to the sales manager, who said he will email back as soon as possible.
1 month later i got an email saying that they send two right fenders to someone in Tennessee and i should trade with him.
NEVER AGAIN !

You will never get someone on the phone. They are the absolute worst. I counld't even spend a custoemr money with them because the never pick up the phone. I've heard of people not getting calls back after getting the wrong ****.
I wouldn't deal with them.

An archive search should reveal the horror in its entirety. I have ordered sparco pedals from asylum and I received them in a decent amount of time. My story is the exception rather than the rule unfortunately. After reading all the threads about bad experiences with asylum, I don't think I would do business with them again.
I have no no f#cking idea how these guys stay in business. Since 1999, I've never read one positive account about them. The stunnas must keep multiplying or something
If a sucky shop can stay afloat, how hard can it be to keep a good one afloat???

never ever buy from those bastards!!!! i ordered a full kit from them and it took them 2 months to send out the front , another 2weeks for the back and i never ever recieved my side skirts.. i got burned by those bitches, overcharge, shitty customer service , crappy parts anyhow.. *** em.
I placed an order through them never heard anything from them, received anything from them i.e. receipt, item, phone call, etc. So I just cancelled my order and never went back.
They're in town here, and as a matter of fact, they were the first "shop" that I ever went to. When I was 16, I had them install fog lights on my '92 Saturn.... hehe, I was a ricer.
But they've since moved to Commerce City to some warehouse where they do all these internet sales... If they don't have an item IN STOCK, don't buy from them. You'll never see the product you're ordering. Evar.

I've only heard the horror stories, but I wouldn't order from them. And to answer this part of your question: Some kits you can get in urethane too. This won't damage as easily but is WAY heavier.
Basically if you're worried about weight, get fiberglass. If you're car is really low and you don't want cracking everywhere, get urethane.
