so yea, i'm a newbie to the Honda camp....i just got a 1995 HB Civic CX for $500.
i want more power, and have chosen the B16A1 to be the starting platform for this new project of mine. don't try to change my mind, i'm going b16 all the way.

so for you engine swap people....what's required to put this engine into this CX trim EG6? do i need a mounting kit? and what's required to have the engine running how it should, besides the VTEC solenoid?

forgive me, i'm a newbie to this whole piston engine modification thing. i've only modded RX-7s.

 

first not tryin to be a dick, just informative, its called b16a sir1. second, get a b16 sir2 and do a lot of research. youll find out why. theres a lot of guys out there with this swap.

 

Actually sir1 and sir2 have nothing to do with the year of the engine. The sir2 trim level was available in a 4g too.

You want a 2nd gen OBD 1 B16A/hydro swap.

 

Also, search like crazy. Go through alot of the old posts on swaps. If I remember correctly your swap is almost identical to a B18C swap. So search for those things too. Run a search on posts written by B18C5-EH2. His posts were very helpful to me when I did my swap. Good Luck!
