coolant temp sensor in z6 swap...
It's not in the block.
That sensor is in the thermostat housing.
It also uses a different plug. You can run the wires from the back of the block to the thermostat switch.

Ummm. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think it is the lower radiator hose that attaches to the thermostat housing.

You're right, my bad. Been a while since I've had to deal with this.

Man, go look at the engine. You only have ONE place where you can plug a radiator hose AND find a sensor in the same spot.

But Spaceballs, he'd rather stay here and pick your brain.

Thats odd, the z6 I got had a hole allready there but with a allen head on it. You can drill out the bottom of the hole and use a tap to put new threads on it. Just dont drill too deep or you may cause damage to the cylinder wall (not likely, but it is bad to tempt fate) If I am not mistaken, there are many spots where you can mount the b2 sensor just make sure the sensor threads in smoothly and its for coolant and not oil! Last you can use the z6 sensor behind the distributor on the thermostat housing. two wire, in coolant flow (obviously).
On my D15b, I just took out the switch from my old motor and put it on the new one, but you will be better off connecting it to the stock one on the motor.
