wondering what you guys think about this alarm

The first item you listed is just an add-on pager. You would need an existing alarm to make it useful. DEI products are well-made and reliable so I would have no problem recommending them.
I don't recognize the second unit. It looks like a bunch of other pager-alarm systems out there that come from Taiwan or China. I would be skeptical about these products.
My recommendation would be to go with a DEI product and have it professionally installed. If you're not a skilled installer, it's not worth buying and installing an alarm system yourself because of the lack of warranty and tech support.
