Idle at 3-4K RPM's after hard driving?
I have a 2K GSR motor in my 93 Civic HB and when I run my car hard, the engine idles at 3K-4K for at least 5 minutes. Does anyone know why that is? I am using a 95 GSR ECU(stock). I have intake and exhaust. Also, my secondary butterflies are not connected due to the fact that I can't find the wire for the IAB. Any info would help.
Also, the throttle cable might be catching on something, check where it goes through the firewall, check at the pedal, and also at the throttle body. You may have it adjusted too tight
The thing is, if I bang gears every 5K and put it in neutral, the engine will idle at normal 800-1000rpms. As soon as I start banging gears from 6K-7K and I put it in neutral, then the engine starts idling real high, until it cools off I guess. Is this normal? Is it because the ECU is in "race mode" so it keeps the rpm's high? I had the same situation when I was using a skunk2 P28 ECU.
