B18C1 failing emissions

B18C1 failing emissions

I have a Civic with a B18C1 engine and it is failing the hydrocarbon test at idle. At 2500 rpm it is well within the limit of 220. At idle it is 311. Everything else passes. Got any ideas why it fails HC at idle but not at 2500 rpm?

they shouldnt fail you cuz of the idle...cuz deisel motors run rich at idle also...

did you warm up your cat....trying driving around abit then smog it...and throw in some of that injector/engine cleaner

You wanna know how to deal with emissions...Go buy a Apexi AFC and Lean out your fuel control.. Lean it out all the way so your car doesnt run rich at all.. All the cars on my team dont even run with cat's and also i have a JDM b18C in my hatch that didnt pass.. this guy from honda told me to do that and it worked.. Have any questions...
