Compression Test, finally got around to doing it.
I headed over to Chris's house to do a valve adjustment(thanks Chris, took us ~10 minutes with both of us working on it) and since the car was cold and Chris had a compression tester we decided to test the compression. I'd never checked compression, so the opportunity presented itself and we took the 10 minutes to check it out.
Standard procedure when doing a compression test; we unplugged the injector ground, and disconnected the distributor harness, 5 cranks, full throttle, we checked each cylinder twice.
Mods that matter in this test:
Mugen headgasket(Per Mugen +0.4 CR)
Toda Cam Gears, +5, +5(net of +3.5, +3.5 for headgasket)
Mileage 58,400(almost forgot this
)
Since we tested each cylinder twice, there are two numbers listed for each cylinder:
#1 - 245, 250
#2 - 250, 250
#3 - 245, 250
#4 - 245, 245
Looks like the numbers are fairly healthy

I never did a "before" test on my ITR but with a Spoon 2-ply head gasket and everything else stock I am running 235psi flat across the board on all 4 pistons. My AEM sprockets are at 0,0 right now, am I going to see an increase in compression when I tune them ??

My compression test was done on my STOCK motor with the same tester, and same conditions... it was near 225.
once I did the CTR pistons and Mugen gasket, the numbers were up around 270 before break in.

Yup, they work great for getting the compression up. (I was at about 12.5:1)

Yes, they are made for the 1.6L, but it has the same bore, and Chris used the overbore size of 81.25mm, as long as you have your valve to piston clearances set correctly, and the car tuned correctly there should not be an issue with using these pistons.

I found a guy that is selling CTR pistons...
i want to make sure they actually are CTR pistons... what markings do i need to look for? or code? is there a site that i can go check?

Mobil 1 since ~10,000 miles, I've used Redline 10w30 for the last 6,000 miles, I manage to burn oil at throttle lift regardless if it's Redline, or Mobil 1 10w30, so I'm switching back to Mobil 1.
Power levels...well, I've thought on the Toda A's, or the Skunk 1's but with the more aggressive vtec lobes I'm under the impression that I'll be making a sacrafice in the mid-range since the plot is already smooth with a 3,300rpm crossover, the larger lobes causing a harsher transition would require a higher vtec crossover. We tuned the cam gears for more of a mid-range power level, so I'm under the impression that with retuning of the cam gears for a peakier power level I'll be able to gain some peak whp with a sacrafice of the mid-range. I think that a ported and shaved head along with a redesigned header from John would most likely get me to the 200whp mark on stock cams, and possibly close to the 140ft/lbs. I've also been kicking the idea around of selling off my icebox and investing in the Mugen intake as a few people have tested it locally and had a fair amount of gains over the icebox. But at the moment I'm very happy with how well the car is running, just need to invest in a decent catch can to help with the oil that's making it's way through the PCV system. I'm not going to tear the motor apart until it really needs it, which may be another 2 years when I'll be around the ~120,000 mile area, we'll see what happens between now and then.
