Default differences in EX and Si 5spd tranys

ok, i'm curious since the EX has the d16a6 the same motor as the Si, would it have the same trany? or is it geared longer since its more of a family car? just curious

ive heard that the EX has a 4.0 final drive and the SI is 4.25

I'm sure the DX tranny has 3.XX final drive. EX would be better for highway driving.

The EX and Si trannies have the same final, 4.25. The DX has 3.88. All of the gears are exactly the same except for the differential gear on the EX/Si is a higher ratio.

I agree with I8yellow, I've also heard the 4.0 rumor but I reused my stock tranny on my ZC and according to my rpms and my calculations it has a 4.25FD. With my tires I should be at 3573rpms at 80 mph with a 4.0FD but I'm right at 3900. Calculating for a 4.25FD I should be at 3797rpms....so my bet is on the 4.25.
