Air conditioning fan not running.
Have a 1991 accord 4 dr. xl, 132 CID. air fan won't run when turning air on.
I pulled the fan and hooked it up direct to battery and it runs. What else can it be and where do I locate it under the hood?

make sure you a/c clutch is kicking in. if not, you probably lost pressure in you a/c system and its not turning on all together. or, if your pump is still engaging and the air is still getting cold, i would try checking the fuse box first. otherwise, my best guess would be maybe a bad relay
the blower motor or the condensor fan? Im going to assume the condensor fan.
Mine did the same thing. I just wired a relay into the main fan and now they both kick in. Check the fuses and relays. underhood fuse box, and theres one attached to the fan shroud i believe, or somewhere in that locale.

A. Does your AC work at all?
If it does then do the following:
1. check to see that you have +12V to your fan replay If you do, replace relay. If you do not, check wiring for damage and repair.
When you turn on your A/C your ECU should send +12 to fan relay. if it does not, time to repair or replace ECU
2. IF you have 12V comming out of relay but fan does not turn on, check the fusable link/fuse and replace as needed.
3. Is the climate control sending a signal to the ECU to let it know that the A/C is on? If not repair or replace it.
If your A/C is not working
Does it cycle on and off and in this case the fan will turn on and off as the A/C does
If so test for leaks, repair, and evacuate system, keep on vaccume for 8 hours, and recharge to proper level.
Does the ECU send a signal to turn on A/C clutch? if not repair or replace. If so, repair wiring and or replace relay for A/C if previous is good replace A/C clutch
