my S is a 2000 model but i wanna switch the rag top bc the '01 and up models have the glass in the back whereas mine looks all nasty now bc it creases when it folds down... can anyone guestimate how much a new one would cost? or would it be better to just trade in mine for a newer one??

 

You'll have to get a '02 ragtop if you want the glass. S2Ki.com has some threads on how some people retro fitted the 00-01's...I am thinking about doing this in the future, but for right now, my plastic window is still looking good...

 

If you clean the plastic will plastic cleaner and plastic scratch remover it should look okay.. the issue with the glass is you can hardly see out the back... it's bad enough with the plastic, but the glass is even smaller.

 

oic i didnt even know that... so where do i get thses cleaners?? u say itll smooth out the scratches?? cool beans

u can get the cleaner's at any automotive stores. meguir's has a good cleaner fro plastic rear window's...and ive used a spray called Plexus-it's a strong plastic cleaner that works great on the plastic rear window's-i got it from a friend at a paintball store-haha crazy stuff
