How about this.. b/c of the header of gsr is shorter and the exhaust is longer... Can I get the muffler shop to cut the extra length to make it fit my LS?? Also, is all the hangers the same for gsr/ls/type r?

 

Yeah thats what I had done.. The dumbass at the shop that I bought my exhaust ordered me the GSR exhaust and I have an LS. He wouldn't accept blame for the mistake so I took it to a mechanic and he cut a section off and reweld it. Looks fine, you wouldn't know someone touched it.

 

I have a question, If a 97 gsr is using jdm itr header, can they use an LS catback exhaust? The jdm headers will be longer than the stock gsr header meaning if they use the stock gsr exhaust it will not fit. Correct me if im wrong?

 

no it doesnt work i had that before turbo, but i just removed cat and made a test pipe to fit..

 

I also had a test pipe made and used a ls header with my GReddy Evo for a GSR it was a bitch

 

You can have the b-pipe cut by 5 inches and it will fit.

 

just go to an exhaust shop and they'll do it for you. I had my exhaust lengthened and installed for 60 bucks.

 

my main concern is the hangers. Will the line up in the right holes?

 

again a muffler shop will take care of that for you. They'll have your car on a lift... fit the hangers... and then lengthenr/shorten the piping.
