Skunk2 Coilovers VS Springs
I currently have HR Race springs and want to raise my car. Im deciding on Skunk2 Coilovers or the Eibach Prokit. I would go for the Skunk2s just for the adjustability, but I once had Matrix Motorsports coilovers on my last car, and the ride sucked, then I went to lowering springs and it was 100% better. So, will the Skunk2's ride (when raised just shy of stock height) be comparable to how the Prokit would ride?

I doubt the ride will be similar to the pro-kits, because the rates for the skunk2 coilovers are like 400/500, and I know the pro-kit is no where near that. If you were to get the coilovers, I would deffinately think about getting some nice shocks to go with the coilovers. If your main concern is ride quality, then I would not look into buying skunk 2 coilovers, because a lot of people have commented on how they have a rough ride do to the stiff spring rates. Another possiblity is to buy some coilovers such as ground controls; with not so much an agressive rate. Hope that helps
I have Koni adjustables on my car already. I dont worry about the rough ride, its just that with the HR race springs my car is always bottoming out, and whenever I hit a decent sized bump its more of a BANG! than just normal roughness. If my car wouldnt hit so much, and not bang around so much, I could deal with a rough ride. I think its the fact that the car is so low that makes the ride so bad. Anyone else?

you could look into getting the ground control upper mounts:

I have Drop Zone coilovers on my car and i have it lowered to about 3 1/2" in the front and 3" in the back and i have a much better ride then some of my friends who have springs in their car. I only have complaints when hitting pot holes.. My struts don't agree with them. But for the most part its an extremely comfertable ride... I would stick with a good pair of springs though.

How come? The problem with my springs is that they drop the car so low, and the rates are so high. Id rather have the Skunk2 coilovers, but I dont want to bottom out and bang around so much.

because from your description, it sounds like you're "bottoming out" your shocks (not enough travel cuz your car is so low). the ground control part allows 1 inch extra travel.
I have a set of Skunk2 coilovers for sale and they're the civic springs rates so they're a little softer than the Teg version. They handle great and the ride isn't too rough. If you're interested, IM me.

I dont know how to describe the difference inbetween riding rough, and what Im experiencing, I dont even know if there is a diff. It feels as though I bottom out everytime I hit a decent sized bump. Im pretty sure thats the case, cause I scrap on nearly everything, and Im tucking tire both up front and in the rear.

Yeah, Im sure its similar to the Prokit. But as of now Im leaning towards Civic Skunk2 coilovers with the GC pillow mounts that allow for more travel. Think that sounds good?
