I was just wondering if any ITRs in the area and if it safe to leave a R in a driveway there. Mines been in storage for 6 months and I decided I needed to be somewhere that I could have a car. I figured I'd cover it all week and just use it on weekends.

 

Hmm.. I don't know about Cliffside Park. I live about 25 minutes from there. It's a pretty decent area, but north Jersey is just getting worse when it comes to car theft. I would try and find a garage for her.

 

now that you've divulged your location online of what town you keep your integra type r on a public internet forum with a handful of thieves reading...

do you think you are safer? or less safe now?

how about making it easier for the thieves and just tell them the street and number too?

Watched Big last night for the first time in a long time!
Anyway I live like 15 min from Cliffside park and I wouldn't park my car outside......Thieves could follow you home and when you are sleeping they will come and jack it........Keep it in storage or in a garage......Please I don't wanna hear about another R being stolen

why risk it? it might not get taken right away, but chances are DAMN GOOD it will be gone eventually. It all depends how you look at it though and thats what you have insurance for and thats why we pay such a high premium. Assuming you have insurance, you may want to ask them or get a clear idea of what would happen if your car got stolen so atleast you know if they will cover everything, etc. If it gets stolen, then that sucks, but thats when you find something else and move on with your life.

you know, I doubt he intentionally listed his city to 'recruit' theives. Many of us have kept our locations in our profiles, not so much these days (for obvious reasons), but we did at once.

If you wanted to be a nice guy, you would have said it in a different manner, or maybe even IM him! what a concept!

I responded publicly so others will see how stupid of a post you made, pointing fun at his 'stupid' post. That is part of the problem here, not even just this forum. Just take a ride down to Edgewater Common Starbuck's Lot, u find them there doing burnouts!

 

Remember NJ = Stolen car capitol for Hondas...Just found something on it before...#1 stolen car in NJ is 95 GSR, 2nd 00 Si, 3rd 99 SI i beleive, 4th 98 GSR, 5th is 93 Acura Legend... and they all end up in Newark, Elizabeth and Irvington...Some guys that lives by me had his R stolen last year...Found in Elizabeth thanks to lojack...But had no radio or front seats...and a friend of mines hatch was stolen and found in Newark stripped to the *ick...Dont take your chances man...Park it and pull out your ECU and Chain that sh*t to you house
