Hey Mike!
Oh the swap is fantastic! I really love the extra power and the gas mileage is still pretty decent 25 in town around 33 on the hwy.
I havent broke into the 13's yet but I dont spend much time at the drag strip.
Its kinda funny, here in H-T alot of guys have done the B18c or type r swap but when I drove down to Washington State and attended a drag race and autox event how many import guys came by slobbering over my motor.
It was kinda cool. I went to an import shop out that way and the guy said up front "wow thats a better install than what we do" It made me feel like all the hard work and research was all worth it...Kudos again to guys like yourself and Tom.
I did a few more upgrades to the suspension and the DIY three way bar up front.
Hows your Si doing? I reckon you must be pretty busy these days dont see you on h-t as much.
BTW yeah our eggs are twins I think

so the swap went well, i assume?
sounds like you have a pretty solid motor. i'm likin' the red valve cover.
what kind of times are you running?
since i've gotten my swap, i've only ran into a couple other hatch's with B18C swaps. amazing, how many are on here.
to keep on topic...
here's a couple pics of the hatch on my rare and expensive Rota Slipstreams.

and here's my pain-in-the-*** engine...

it's burning oil, but it still has a lot of power... i hope it's just valve guide seals *crosses fingers*
...and not rings.
anyways, good luck with it!
stomp some V8 *** for me.

Mike, I ran like a 14.1 or something (calculated to sea level) but I wasn't launching right at the time.
Now I launch at 6000 and and slip the clutch to give me the quickest grip and bam Im in vtec at like 10mph. I tried this against my buds Civic with the exact same swap and was able to pull him hard off the line, were as before we were dead even from start to finish.
I didn't realize you were blowing smoke
If its right when the car starts up generally its the guides if its after the car runs for a few minutes it probably the rings.
Now imo if its after the engine warms up and you've been flogging it and its not billowing out but just blowing a wee bit then I think your ok.
Heck my motor does it everynow and again and I dont mind, rather have a little loose motor that revs to 9 grand than a tight one.
And yeah have definetly stomped some v-8s at the strip.
You should look into the DIY bar I have up front in the engine compartment, works really well. I can send the dimensions to you and then just find a welder preferably someone thats welds on stock cars or something automotive related.
Material is like 5-10 bucks and the welding cost isn't to bad. I still have to get mine powder coated, locally it cost around 15 bucks.
Good luck!
