Default Will the new Sony CD players play CD-Rs?

I heard a while back that Sony car stereos would not play CD-Rs because they have a music business and did not want to support music piracy. Can anyone substantiate this?

I am considering a Sony stereo, but want to find out before I make this purchase.

Thanks.

I don't have a problem with mine playing CD-R's. When I copy cd's I copy a whole CD I don't really make a mix one so I'm not sure if it would make a difference.

I am not sure either. I mostly make mix cds from MP3s I have downloaded.

Anyone else have experience with music they have downloaded?
