what atf can i use to make my automatic shift harder. iv herd you can put 10w-40 oil in and it will do the trick any suggestions? thanks

well honda autotrannies suck...use honda ATF if you want to keep it

 

you don't want it to shift harder, you want it to shift quicker....the harder an auto shifts the quicker you will tear it apart along with everything else in the driveline....


the fact of the matter is that the automatic transmission in your accord will outshift 99.99% of the people who drive sticks....

There are a few things you can do

Install a shift kit
Install a beefier torque converter

and there is one thing that can never ever happen with a properly functioning automatic....miss-shifts

 

good post where can i get a shift kit for an 03 accord? what is that dude talking about accord trannys dont shift when racing ? i race more then i drive reagular and i havent had any problems yet.

 

i dunno man, i dont knwo bout the new tranny's but i heard from this guy in a earlier post who said it wouldnt shift when he raced it. so goodluck
