o2 sensor will not fit in header, what to do?

o2 sensor will not fit in header, what to do?
Alright, this afternoon, i put in my new header and what not on my DOHC ZC. Well i go to finish the last part of putting the o2 sensor in the hole up near the top of the header and BAM.. it wont fit.. What can i do about this? Are there different sized o2 sensors? Anyone have any suggestions?

Hmm, well got everything all installed correctly, but now my car sounds more high pitched =[ 
is there anything i can do about this to get the nice lower rumble sound back, so it dosent sound like a rice-mobile?
