Default d16z6 and wanna stay obd0...dizzy question

is there anyway i could swap internals so i can have the dizzy properly mounted to the engine?

edit: and for all you guys that are about using the proper ECU i give mad props, but i've got a bud who will chip my ecu with a cold rev limit below vtec engagement and have the proper timing and fuel maps for when vtec engages so i believe i have that covered

You can keep your non-obd SOHC dizzy on the Z6, only minor downside is that only 1-2 of the mounting legs will moount up properly...no biggy tho. Swapping internals isn't an easy option at all from non-obd to obd1....its highy un-recommended.

Also, if you wanna ecu tip, run a B16A PR3 ecu and have it reprogrammed with a few disabled sensors to power the VTEC from the ecu.....no need for an RPM switch. If your interested, I have a modified mugen program w/disabled sensors that would be perfect for this setup....you'd just have to locate a PR3 ecu.

i'll look into that, if i can find a pr3 ecu within my price range of course. What is stock vtec engagement on the b16?

vtec on a stock PR3 is around 4800rpm.

working on understanding how the ecu (PM6) can control vtec, from the computer. might need to add some extra components. but so far it seems that they have gotten to code for 4500rpm vtec xover. so maybe you wont need the rmp switch....biotch!
