You're talking about the J-spec EF front end right? ehhh not the best headlights to use for HID, I would look into some kind of custom-mounted OEM HID projector inside of an aftermarket projector headlight housing or something like that.

Agreed.
Make sure the lenses are "fluted" either. I'm not sure what the JDM headlights look like for your car.
My setup is as follows:
92-95 civic Denji projector lamps
2003 Audi/Hella Bi-xenon Projectors
Philips 4100k bulbs
Hella ballasts
I have a link in my sig, and will have more picts being that I finally got my highs working.
I couldn't be more pleased with my setup. Do things right the first time, and you won't have any worries!

Fluted as in,
On my 92-95 civic headlights the lenses arent totally clear. They've got "lines" that help disperse the light in different directions. Newer cars pretty much all have totally clear lenses, due to better design of the reflectors, or projectors.
The denji projectors have a totally clear lens, so no worries about the HID's throwing out major glare onto oncoming drivers.
