Default mugen cat back exhaust and headers anyone got them?

i was looking at these items for my 97 lude but i wanna know if this combo is loud!
in my country the laws are strict for loud exhausts and it has to be quiet below 3-4rpm at least. ( i had a custom 2.5 piping straight through and i mean STRAIGHT , from header to back ,4" tip , no cat and and cop pulled me over, revved it and took me to the police station to show his catch. then of course i went to court (no tickets here for exhausts) and they took my exhaust straight to the junkyard)
anyway i know i'll have the highest gains with this combo but i want to know how it sounds. i asked around and ppl said that it sounds almost stock below 4krpm and gets really loud from vtec-on. anyone really owns one around here?
p.s. also thought of a mugen intake but i dont think that they make them for the ludes, just rsx and civics or smthn

IMO, mugen is one of the quietest exhausts on the market. the apex'i WS is also real quiet, i would look into getting htat....its cheaper, but you get what you pay for

I have the combo.

It's RELATIVELY quiet. It is louder than stock. It mainly has a deeper tone.

If people don't see the chrome tip, they usually don't know that I have an aftermarket exhaust by just listening to it when I'm just puttin around town. However, at wide open throttle you can tell it's not stock! It sounds better than any other aftermarket exhaust IMHO!

If you are looking for an intake, try the Type S. It's quieter (stock quiet) than a CAI, cheaper, and it gives decent gains in torque (Something every Honda motor needs)!

Now that I've put on a couple on the CAI (to replace the bypass valve) I notice a really deep non-buzz bomb note between 3-4.5 rpm at thats at about a 75% throttle but when you open it up the note just sound like a beast from hell, oh and yes its quite when puting around town.

And yes I'm in the full mugen club.

Ditto here.

True dat, like I said at WOT it sounds like the ghost of Barry White has a really bad case of strep throat and is screaming at me through a megaphone from under/behind the car. I do mean that in a good way, of course. The exhaust's growl sounds even louder now since I added the Moooogen header/RT cat last Monday, but IMO it's still not irritating. It's loud as unholy hell when I stand on it; if I'm goofing around at low rpms the difference is barely noticeable. But the closer you get to VTEC range, the more you feel like "Something Wicked This Way Comes..."

And no, no other exhaust that I've ever heard on a 5th gen even comes close.
