I have an A1 transmission in my crx. I got it with my swap about a year ago. I was told that it has about the same gearing of the ZC. Just want to know if any one has heard of this tranny and can give me the gearing. I am trying to decide if it would be worth the effort to put in shorter geared tranny. I would like to get a S1. Also are the splines diffrent for the S1 and A1? If they are I would have to buy a new clutch.

I know the tiiite b16 site used to have an entire b16a gear ratio index, but i can't find the link at the moment.......

 

Aren't the ratios the same as the USDM S1?

From what I've seen on friend's cars the A1 is a LS tranny (i saw it on a all original 90 integra). Which S1 are u referring to, the JDM one or USDM one? JDM one is a hell of a lot shorter than the A1 but as for the USDM S1...i wouldnt know.

 

I was looking at the JDM S1. I am looking for something good and short to put a good lsd in and call it a day. Does anyone know how many splines are on the A1 input shaft?

 

Well im ALMOST sure the 90-91 USDM Integra tranny have the same spline count as the JDM trannys. Its the 92-93 USDM trannys that are different. Hope that helps.
