Car: RSX Type S

I have the clifford matrix rs3. (2 way pager) I have some specific questions.

I have bought additional piezo sirens i want to hook up with the main alarm.

1. If I hook up 3 of these additional sirens, is it true the volume of all the sirens go down since it's drawing from the same source of power?

2. I also have the self powered backup siren (works off key). Does this go off at the same time the main siren goes off (when alarm is triggered) so in essence I hear 2 alarms? Then when I de-activate the alarm, both turn off? Or does the backup only go off if the main alarm is cut? I noticed on the back up siren, there are 4 wires (power/ground/activate wire/deactivate wire)

3. I have the DEI 530T window module. Can one touch ONLY work from the driver's side or can I make it so it works for both the driver and passenger side?

4. Do I need to use harness 2? I heard that I would still need to wire the power and have the harness plugged in, but just cut all the other wires.. is this true?

It goes off just as your regular siren or when the main power supply is cut.

3. I have the DEI 530T window module. Can one touch ONLY work from the driver's side or can I make it so it works for both the driver and passenger side? If you tap into all of the wires at the driver's door then no it won't work. If you tap into the passenger side door instead then it should work they way you want it to. The problem is the multiplexer unit. Some other installers might have more info on this subject.

4. Do I need to use harness 2? I heard that I would still need to wire the power and have the harness plugged in, but just cut all the other wires.. is this true? In your case, you'll only need harness 2 if you plan to use the channel 4 output. Just to make sure, the harness in question is a 3-wire one, right?

I had a few followup questions, was hoping you could help.

1. What type of relay do I need and where do I get this? Once hooked up to the relay, does the wires from the relay then get hooked up in series w/ the other sirens?

2. I understand.

3. One person told me that if I tap into the passenger side window module, then the driver side won't be able to do one touch up/down control for both sides.. my car (RSX) comes stock with the driver side being able to do one touch up/down with ONLY the driver side window. WIth this 530T module, I am hoping I can do one touch for both the driver and passenger and for BOTH windows. Is this possible just by only wiring to the passenger side or do I need to tap into both the passenger and driver side?

4. What do you mean by channel 4 output? Are you referring to something specific? The secondary harness (H2) is:

H2/1 - gray/black wait to start input
H2/2 - light green/black - factory disarm/special acecssory output
H2/3 - violet/black - selectable channel 4 output

Just to also clarify what I have.. this is what I purchased:

Clifford Matrix RS3 2 way pager
6 additional piezo sirens
530T for one touch window control and auto arm closure
529T for sunroof closure (one touch if possible)
Trunk popper via alarm
backup siren (key)

1. You'll need a standard Bosch relay (http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshow...number=330-070). Here are the pin assignments: 86 - siren output from alarm, 85 - ground, 30 - positive input on sirens, 87 - fused 12v+.

3. I'm still looking into this one. Like I said, the problem is the multiplex control unit. My guess is that you would have to tap into the passenger window control wires at 2 places - the passenger multiplex control unit and at the passenger's switch. The driver's side isn't going to be an issue as long as you tap into the wires at the driver's switch.

4. Yes. Channel 4 would be used for an additional convenience function i.e. window roll-down, sunroof open, etc.

 

Why the hell would you want 3 siren on your car? Are you that PARANOID. I feel sorry for you neghibors already. I hope you don't have you alarm setup as to where the alarm will go off if a car with exhaust fly by.
