Default jdm headlights

hey, my buddy just bought some jdm headlights, and while he was going to install them, he noticed that the bulbs are different size than on his usdm headlights. does anyone know what size bulbs are used in the jdm headlights? are they HID or what? let me know, so we can get those MF'ers installed.

will he need to do any rewiring in order to get the bulbs to work? or can he just splice in a harness for the h1/h4

usually when you get the one piece, they come with the bulbs and the wiring harness. at least mines did. all i had to do was cut the usdm wiring harness and butt connect the jdm to the usdm. colors match up and everything. the hardest part about the install was taking off the front bumper.
