ITR exhuast, worth it or not?
i've been thinking about getting an exhaust and i was really like the RS*R exmag because i really dont like loud exhausts i just would like a little more sound when i rev higher and some increased flow but those go for around $550 on ebay at the cheapest, but someone on here is selling an ITR exhaust for $150 and i was wondering how it would sound on my LS. i know there will be increased air flow but will it be as much as an aftermarket exhaust? do you think it'd be worth the money for the ITR exhaust or should i just save up my money and eventually get an RS*R?
it will be wider, from your ls's 50.8mm to itr's 57.2mm but you have to understand that the muffler is chambered, which is a big no no.
rsr is 60mm and chambered as well but in my opinion, you should get a straight through
if you insist on getting a chambered exhaustm go with apexi ws, which is too 60mm and cahmbered and pretty quiet

ya i'd liek to get one of those but right now i dont want to spend $600 on an exhaust, and i was thinking if the ITR is any good that i could get that for around $150 and keep it for a while until i get enough money for an RS*R then i could sell the ITR for a little less than what i got it for
His question is still not answered.
He wants an quiet muffler but at the same time, he wants some hp, some performance from that muffler. His budget is limited and doesn't want to spend an $500-$600 on a specific muffler which makes good hp and is also quiet compared to other mufflers.
Chambered mufflers = quiet, eg. ITR muffler
Straight mufflers = ^hp, eg. Greddy, A'pexi
I don't think you can get the same performance from an ITR muffler than the one of those expensive straight through mufflers.
You have sacrifice something, either the quietness you're looking for or the performance.
I heard those mufflers with the silencers are not bad but can be very loud once you take the silencer off.
You can put the silencer on the muffler on the day when you want it quiet, and take it off on the days that you want little performance.
I don't know this helps but good luck to you.

I think you will be very dissapointed with the ITR muffler. Coming from a N1 to an ITR I felt my car (LS/VTEC) was choking exhaustwise. Lost a ton of top end which was very noticeable. I would just keep saving up if I were you. But the ITR muffler did drop the db to stock levels
thanks for your replies and i think i have decided not to get it, but i have a friend selling a Spoon N1 rear section so i think i might go with that instead because with the silencer in its pretty quiet. anyone know if the rear section will fit my 95 3 door integra? the guy is selling his comptech b-pipe and elbow too and he said for that $500 + shipping and for just the rear section it'd be about $320 shipped. i duno if i want to spend $500 tho would it be worthwhile?

a custom with a 22" 4dia resinator exhaust may be something to look into too.
chambered exhausts take out top end, but 2-3 whp can't really be felt - it's more in the mind than anything else.

I say get it if u don't want to spend any $$$ on an exhaust, I know u wont really need that top end power from the other exhausts.
but if u realy want an other exhaust, wait on it and get it when u feel like spendin' that much on it. and spend da $$$ on a suspension component (like a ITR rear sway bar wit BSQ reinforcement kit)
