My friends accord has problems!!!!!!

Default My friends accord has problems!!!!!!
My friend has a 94 Honda Accord LX 4-door and when he takes off around 3000 Rpms the more he pushes the gas down it slips and the torque converter or clutch or whatever it is wont hold and the Rpms just rise...after a while they actually catch but im just wondering whats wrong with his car...

EEEEEKK I have a 1994 Accord LX 4 door, but its manual, never had that problem :D
