I know suspension is going to affect the lauch but how much?

Anyway.. I'm running about a 10.1 10.2 w/ mods listed below.. on Azenis with a 2.4 0-60.. how are you guys bringing 60 foot times down? I'm not happy w/ my times..


And if your bored.. I think compression is hurting my times too.. help me w/ this

whats the 10.1 10.2 thingy. my best 60ft was a 2.065 i think. on 205/50-15 azenis. make sure you have the 32 psi air pressure or whatever the tire is reccommended at. then just its practice practice practice. watch the lights more. start going right before the yellow light above the green lights turns off. that will increase your reaction time, and might help out your 60ft a little. it just takes practice i guess. i love the track, it is the coolest place in the world. i ran my car 26 times at the track, try launching at 500 different rpms when you go. you will find the sweet spot eventually. mine is somewhere between 3300 - 3800 RPM to launch at. thats on a B18C1. the only thing done to my suspension is ground control coil overs. i hope this helps somewat.

 

The 10.1 and 10.2 are typos Im guessing. 2.4 is still steep. You should be able to bring that down alot. Yes, its holding you back.

10.1 and 10.2 is most likely his 1/8 time, and 2.4 is alright if its your first time, you just gotta practice. Also almost everyone I know lowers their tire pressure you get better traction on the takeoff.

 

you can get waaaay better than 2.4 with azenis because i rant a 2.3 with my shitty bald *** dunlop tires with uneven camber wear...there's no tread at all on the insides....freaking skunk2 camber kit is taking forever to get here!

my 60ft times on some 14in steelies with stock tires was 2.2 and had a reaction time of . 717 8th mile time was 9.2

 

This may not help but I was getting 2.4 60' times with my 17" wheels. I would try to launch higher and feather out the clutch.

 

I got a 2.4 60' before my ITR tranny, now i'm pulling 2.2s and hoping for 2.1s or 2.0s. What tires pressure do you guys run at, i'm running Kumho's at 28 - 30 PSI, they recommend 44psi. I tried 20 - 24 PSI and I was running almost .2 slower 60', tire pressure is very important.

 

2.4 aint that great.. from what I'm understanding.. I ran 17 PSI in azzenis adn I got a 2.4 again (had to leave before I could run more than once) .. the best time I got was a 2.3 w/ 32 PSI .. I really think lower PSI coulda helped me.. wish I had more time

i have Ground Control on stock shocks, drag radials, and a 100 shot on my GS-R hatch and my best 60' is a 1.9

i was pulling consistent 2.1s with no nitrous out of the hole, and then got back to back 1.9s sprayin the 100 shot right off the line.
