Default A/C Refrigerant capacity / broken line

K, I have a 90 crx si. I dont know the name of which compressor I have but its the one that takes the bigger AC belt. I Just recently replaced the hose that loops from the compressor, up and back around to the compressor. Yesterday it just blew and sprayed out the refirgerant and oil everywhere. Im wondering if it was just a bad hose (getting it replaced under warantee) or if I over pressurized the system. I put 2 12 oz bottles of the r134, and 4-8 oz of oil. I just need to know how much I need to put in after I put in the new hose again, thanks !

ummmmm.....did u convert to r134?(changing seals etc etc) if you didnt then thats the reason you blew a seal....

anyways..it takes 4 ounces of oil total.....and about 2 pounds of refrigerant

It wasnt a seal that broke, let me show you

What could have done this ? too much vibration in the engine bay, or maybe a loose AC braket or something ?

And yes it has been converted properly to r134, and Ive been driving it freshly recharged for over a month.

I did mine yesterday, and it only took like 24 oz all together, of oil and 134.. So maybe you over filledit..

update: I found out it takes 32 oz of fluid and 4 oz of oil.
I took the hose back to the place I bought it and they put a new end on it. He said it looked like the hose was sitting weird and put stress on it and it snapped. Hope it doesnt happen again.

My AC might also be colder now that the proper amount of refrig. is in it.
