I have a 96 accord ex vtech and i was trying to put in my intake yesterday. I got everything out except for this little box to the left of the battery. I'm not sure what this box is or what it does, but it has plugs that plug into it. I was kind of sceptical as to should I take it out or not.

What is this box and do I need it?

Does anyone have any step by step instructions to putting in my intake?

 

i'm not too familiar with accords, but one civics and integras, the box to the lower left of the intake box is usually the resonator (to make the intake quieter). if the box has electrical connnections on it, you might not be able to remove it.

leave the box in there... i did... i dont think it matters really

 

i took mine out. nothing happened. no check engine lights either.
