Well it was fun while lasted
After a exactly a yr of boosting with a Greddy kit its all over
since it all over i'll give the history of the car with pics
the motor is all that is blown the turbo is still good just a little oily but we are cleaning it up
so here they are the gruesome pics
this is the beginning with a NEW GSR block
out with the old & in with the boost!!!!
as you can see ACHOO was a happy camper as i work on the turbo
the end result (i think the car liked it too) see the grin
well 12 months later and this is what we have
an unhappy camper
so this is what we do next

Right....and GS-R blocks are sooo common at junkyards, huh?
Tell me where you're finding GS-R blocks for $200 and I'll be there tomorrow.
There's something to be said about having a block that is clean and assembled from Honda...no hassles. Sometimes when you're at the point of extreme disgust, it can be the difference between continuing with this sport or throwing in the towel. There are a lot of hidden costs in rebuilding an engine, too. When I add up all of the little stuff like the machine work, bearings, gaskets, seals, etc...it's significant.

Jesus people, get off his case. I don't blame him one bit for going with a brand new factory assembled short block. That extra piece of mind and knowing everything is brand new and put together right is worth the extra money if you have it. Plus I believe that short block has a warranty of some kind
