Could I get a stock ITR muffler to bolt on to mine?
Ok, I really don't want to get in any more trouble for having an exhaust. I have a 70mm Kakimoto R exhaust. I was wondering if I took off the muffler, kept the piping would I be able to weld a ITR muffler on to it? I want the stock look with the performance. Plus im sure it'll still sound mean. Thanks guys
Does anybody know?? What size flange is the stock Type R exhaust. I just want to switch the muffler.....thanks
if you are goign to weld it like you said in your post above....then it will fit, you can weld any 2 pipes together and make it fit some way or another
stock ITR muffler is 2.25inch flange, that is tapered to fit stock gasket. Now it matters on how big your kakimoto is.

My kakimoto is 70mm piping. So thats bigger then the 2.25" flange on the ITR muffler(which I want)

What is a good price for an ITR muffler? And what is a good price for the entire catback? Thanks guys....or what do you guys see them going for.
I really don't know about the whole catback because I have a 2.5" carsound cat and the toda header is 2.5" so I think the 2.25" ITR catback would mess up my flow or wouldn't bolt up...is that correct? What I really wanted to do was just try and figure out a way to weld the ITR muffler onto my Kakimoto 70mm Piping so that I still have the stainless steel piping and then have a stock look with good performance. Help me out here. I am open to options.

If you want to go this route, muffler shops have these things called reducers they could put on and reduce the size of the piping to fit whatever you want. this is possible. The sound however might/ might not be something you like. Have you ever heard a car that has lets say 2.25 piping with a stock muffler? the bigger the pipe, the worse the sound. It may sound hollow, but should be quiet until you get on it.. let us know how it works. btw dont know what prices should be fro those items,.

MD on team-integra suggested to just chop off the tip and get a smaller one. I think im going to try that so I still have my clear flowing setup and plus MD knows his ****. So looks like im going to see what exhaust shop can do what im looking for.
