I have ctr cams, runs fine for daily driver... but i think my vtec is too low(pr3 4800), I don't have the pistons though.....

I am wondering if my pr3 is fueling correctly with the ctr cams, my car feels like it should be making more power.... I don't know if I need a chip, fpr, vafc or what....

a b16b block is the EXACT same cast as a b18c. basically a b16b is a destroked itr motor.

I'd like to know this too. I'm also getting a set of CTR cams.

With the cams you will make more power in the mid-higher rpms..

You should be making about 170-175 hp at the crank with a B16A running ctr pistons and cams. The B16B will still make more power due to the type R head with better flowing valves, and better intake manifold and TB.

Don't forget though, if your gonna go any bigger ( for a cam ) your gonna need to replace the lma's or your running a risk of running a head. You might even want to upgrade your lma's if your gonna use a ctr or itr cam.

I second that. I had to replace my LMA's like 2 weeks after installing my CTR cams.

I use to run CTR pistons and cams in my b16a. Great midrange to top end power. Noticed a little on the lowend but screamed when above 5000 rpm all the way to 8400.

You may want to also change out your exhaust and intake valvesprings while your at it.

My guess is thats where you got yours and are just trying to flip them to an unsuspecting H-T member for a $30.00 profit.

LMA's are basically a spring that holed the vtec rocker in place when vtec is not engaged, I have seen older ones bind and bust and cause some huge damage

I have not heard of LMA either. I just had my CTR cams, pistons and Ferrea Valve springs and retainers installed. NO ONE SAID ANYTHING ABOUT A LMA. Not even the HELMS book. Where is it in the head? I am going to F**KING PI$$ED if this LMA thing is ture.

Also what TB does the CTR use? What size?

I seriously doubt hondamotorsonline was selling pistons that cheap 2 years ago.

And Im supposed to know that how? Maybe you should blame the asshat that bumped this up from 2yrs in the dead then. Instead of giving ME the thumbdown when Im just trying to make people aware. And there are still plenty of people selling ctr pistons for 200+ on here.

Replace with some ITR LMA's ( lost motion assemblies ). You can also use prelude ones (cheaper) but have to put washers under them becuase they are a little shorter.
Heres a pic of the ITR one with part #
