comptech supercharger?
anyone have it in their 6th gen? Im thinking about getting one since its just about the only thing you can do to see dramatic gains on the v6. If you have one what kind of gains have you seen in HP/torque/quarter mile times? and any negative effects? such as dramatic drop in MPG or reliability?
the supercharger only activates at high throttle from the write up I read...so no real negative effects are probable, and gas millage stays the same unless you floor it everywhere
. As for doing it, I say go for it, the price isn't so bad *shrug*...and the performance gains as I recall will put you in the 14s for sure. I don't see any reason why however that you couldn't go even further with a good head job from a respectable head shop and a good flowing exhaust and intake.
I am thinking about purchasing a v6 coupe and putting the supercharger on it for a daily driver

the supercharger has little effect on your highway gas milage as it goes into a bypass mode (air vented out instead of forced into the engine)
Mercedes does the same thing with their Kompressor series
when you are accellerating it works as it should it only goes to bypass when you are at a constant engine speed...
