i got a 1993 civic DX coupe with a 1995 LS swap, only mods are Action 2mD clutch and skunk 2 cam gears *( waiting for lovefab manifold). anyways i got the swap in and it started, but the timing was off so whenever you revved the motor it would miss. so i had my friends check the wiring to the S=-AFC while i take out my 440's ( was installed for turbo preperation). I put back in the stock integra injectors and put the S-AFC at Zero. i turned the car on and it just cranked and stumbled back to death. Whats wierd is, that when i take off the map sensor connector fro the map sensor, the car will start, i'd have a check engine light but itll start and itll run. when its plugged in, it dont wanna run.
cliffnotes: Map sensor plugged in car no start. Map sensor disconnected car start and run.
** oh yea, i swapped the maps from my 2001 integra and my civic, no cashew, my integra runs fine with the map sensor from the civic and the civic still doesnt run with the newer map sensor off my 2001 integra

maybe its looking for different manifold pressures. 2001 motor = OBD II, 1995 motor = OBD I. It might not be looking for a different pressure but the obd 2 map sensor could work in conjunction with another sensor(TPS maybe?) and not seeing could screw it up. Of course it could be something completely different. I would first check to make sure that the sensor is good, then I would try swapping it for an obd I sensor....I hate swapping OBD ****....

nope, sensors are good, theres no 5 volts going to the map sensor =T

Are you sure you have it plugged into the right map sensor? The DX hatchbacks have their map sensor's on the firewall. If you pull the stock motor out, the map stays on the firewall. Now with your LS motor you have a second map sensor(throttle body). Make sure you have it plugged into the right one.
you sure you have the right plug in there and not switched with the tps or some other sensors
