H22a automatic or manual
I have a 90 accord lx automatic and was wondering if it is easier to swap an automatic H22a into my auto accord or to do a manual H22a swap then do a manual conversion to my car? And does the automatic H22a motor swap into an automatic accord fit easier and cheaper?
easier and cheaper. Less headaches as well. Most people will think you're smoking crack using an automatic...but good lord, it's less than a tenth of a second difference with an awesome 5 speed driver....a lot less room for error and more time to monitor other things going on. PLus, the H22 automatic is very nicely geared.
automatic....
Unless you really want a 5speed *shrug*

it's slower in the 1/4 and harder for autocross. I did the auto to manual swap and it's not that bad at all. cost 500 and some change. Totally different car with the manual in it. Auto does suck a lot of power.
A 5spd H22 accord will be much easier to sell when your done with it. Plus more power, Plus better gas mileage, Plus lower replacement costs, Plus being lighter....etc.etc.etc
Would you buy an auto H22? If you had the choice?
