Has anybody gotten pulled over or cited for having 4100-4500k HID's?
I know many people have gotten harassed by cops for having 6000k HID's, but has anybody gotten pulled over for their 4100-4500k HID's?
I have had HID for about 2 1/2 years now, and I have never been stopped for having them. Ensure that they are aimed properly, and you should not have problems. Its when the police notice the increased glare, that you/your car comes to their attention.

Since I installed my HID's I've been pulled over twice, but nothing was said about the headlights. However they did mention me having a

not at all, one time cop was like "why does your car say Honda on it? that's a no-no" and on and on.... he was saying something about "what if a green honda was involved in a crime or something and we might mistake you for him" or some dumb@$$ comments.

wellll I'm not too sure about that. I used to think that because I used to think that all factory HID had built-in autolevelers. However USDM Hondas and Acuras w/ HID do not have autolevelers (other makes do have them, like BMW), so that logic goes out the window. Anyone have any other insight?

if a cop wants to pull you over, they can pick 101 things to use as an excuse.
HIDs, emblems etc... are all semantics.
The thing that i do agree is annoying are the cheap exhausts. i hear it buzzing at night all the time in my neighborhood. i wouldnt mind if they get pulled over.

You should have said, "what if a green Acura was involved in a crime? You still might mistake him for me!"
Most retarted cop comment ever.
btw, I've never been pulled over for my HID's. Only when I had the blue corner bulbs is when I started getting pulled over. Also, about HID's being illegal, the only HID kit on the market right now (that I know of) that is DOT approved are the Catz kits.

Same here with my 4300K Phillips HIDs.... no problems for over 2 years and I've driven next to cops, behind cops, and drove by oncoming cops at night.... zero problems in both Northern California and in Southern California. Just aim them correctly and you shouldn't have any problems.
