Trouble with OEM fogs...
(Sorry to crosspost, but I figured TypeR guys have the same fogs too....)
I installed my OEM fogs about 4 months ago now and they've been running great. I have noticed that the one on the left side would develop a little bit of condesation right in the center of the glass after I washed the car or it rained. The condensation would last a good while too.
Yesterday, I noticed it was burnt out (left one). However later on in the day it was coming on. Now it seems to be sporatic. It will come on and eventually flicker off...
Before I take it apart, I was wondering if anyone had any common problems and could share advice? I installed them with a buddy that knew electronics and had been doing stereo, fog light, and car starter installs for the last 7 years... Plus the install went very well and we did everything according the the Acura instructions...
Thanks

its not your harness if its just 1 side.
imho, take the leaky fog and remove the front and epoxy it back on with a sealant.
if that doesnt stop it, use a voltmeter and find out where the break is

Can't say I've had that problem. I've had my fogs for just over 2 years now. Try to get them replaced under warranty (if applicable) or else, take them apart and seal them up with some quality silicone.
The moisture getting into the housing is your problem. Do what others have stated and seal it...or try to bring it back to Acura and see if they will replace it for you. IMO...they should replace it if there are no signs of you tampering with it or a big hole in the lense.
I bought the fogs BRAND NEW and SEALED from a fellow H-T.com member last winter and installed them this spring. I know that the install wouldn't be covered under warranty, but maybe the peice itself? I'm gonna try as you guys stated and see if I can reseal it...
Thanks for the input guys!

if so, maybe you could take them back to the dealer.
