I dont have a Honda anymore but I do have my 92 SE-R which has the SR20DE in it. I have asked SMS or Dave actually if he would be interested in making a custom header he wasnt, I have also asked Header Tech and they said that they were making something for the SR20 in the future but not now. So who can I talk to about this? I dont want to use any of the normal stuff that everyone buys that might make 10hp tops. I mean alot of the SR20 guys use Pacesetter and it makes ok power but I dont want to try it. So who can I talk to about a custom header I should have my engine done in the near future and dont want to wait forever for a new header. TIA

 

sr20det y0!!!! umm does hotshot still make headers? they use to have a nice piece for the sr20de. as far as who, iono. have you tried a nissan forum?

 

My friend Sean's Hotshot made 12whp on his SER just by bolting it on. He had I/E already. This was over that. The HotShot is probably the best quality one made off the shelf. You'll probably pay almost twice the price for it for a custom. I hope it's worth it.

 

It may be a tad on the pricey side, being custom and all, but Devon @ Payn Technologies in southestern Michigan does absolutely beautiful work. He will be doing the custom header for my b20vtec, and he's already done my custom roll bar in my civic. He's also done some gorgeous headers for an AC Cobra that came out very nice! Tom(Payn-owner) also knows the tech. side of things to calculate primary diameters and lengths based on your setup. They can also get nice merge collectors as well.

Cool I will probably try to email them. I have been looking for awhile emailed Hytech, SMSP, Header Tech, etc. No one was making or gonna make a SR20DE header at the time. So does anyone else have any suggestions? Let me know. TIA

you'll probably want to call Payn, not e-mail. Probably a faster response by phone. They're REALLY busy. Engine swaps, turbos, Hondata tuning, running an awd dyno, etc...

 

our 92 ser prior to build/turbo went 14.1 on a pacesetter header among other simple boltons. not bad for a 90 dollar set.
