are you sure it's not d16z6? because that is the Civic si eh motor...and the d16y8 is the 96-00 civic ex motor in the U.S both make about the same power but I believe the 96-00 ex d16y8 head has a better head design compared to the d16z6 but overall make the same power

what he said. the diff between the z6 and the y8 head is that the z6 head has circular cumbustion and the y8 had squared off combustion.

Yeah, I plugged "d16y6" into Google, and Osaka's website came up. I think it was a typo. They probably meant "D16Y8" but were thinking of "D16Z6."
