Oil on the plugs; Is something wrong?
I just changed my plugs and noticed that my orignals plugs had quite a bit of oil on the bottom of them. About 2000 miles ago the dealer changed my oil, and put to much oil in the car by about a 1/4-1/2 a quart over, and this weekend when I dropped the B's in my car, I changed the oil again to the correct amount. Is this oil just because the dealer put to much oil in the car, or is it soemthing major? The car runs just fine.
Hmmmm
I'm no expert, but oil on the plugs is generally not good
Are the spark plug boots oily? Maybe it's leaking from there? If not, it could be from the valve guides or blowby.
Maybe do a compression check and leakdown to make sure everything looks good.
My car had some oil on the plugs after the rebuild, and I panicked. I kept a close eye on it, and now the plugs are ok, it was probably just from the rings seating and everything.
Anyone else with a real clue want to help?
Good luck,

Is it smoking?

"Oily coating caused by poor oil control. Oil is leaking past worn valve guides, piston rings, or on some race engines a possible intake gasket leak and then entering the combustion chamber.
Check for worn valve guides (NEVER knurl valve guides), intake gasket sealing alignment, as well as worn cylinder walls and piston rings. A leak down test is a good place to start for what is causing this."

I changed my plugs, because Spec B's like the Denso Iridiums. I did change my Valve springs and retainers along with the B's, could it be from the parts breaking in? I still have to adjust the valve lash and tune the B's

Well I don't think anything you changed should let oil into the combustion chamber, right?
Are you consuming oil? Are your plugs wet and shiny and smell like oil (check the pics on how to read your plugs). If the plugs are dry and just black, it may just be carbon, not oil. This may mean you're just running rich. Oil fouled plugs look diff since they're literally wet...
Check that compression, that should be able to tell you if the rings are sealing well enough...

The plugs are wet and shiny, but they have a perfect color/burn to them.
The car runs great
The car is not smoking.
The car only has 6K miles, so I doubt anything has worn out already.
I will inspect new plugs in a couple of days.
Hmmm...I am stumped on this one, and very worried

They are a little lighter than the one that says perfect color. Probably cuase they only have 6K miles on them. I will put a pic up in a minute
is the oil on the tip or on the outside of the plug?..because the spark plug tube can sometimes leak..you can get a little oil from there..but if you have oil on the tip..uh oh...not a very good sign..
Doesn't the plugs have gasket around it? Maybe when you remove the valve cover, you didn't tightly seal the plug gaskets.. I had this problem with my Civic when the gasket was torn and not sitting correctly after the mechanic adjust the valves. After replacing the gasket and making sure they sit right, the plugs are as dry as the Arizona summer heat.
Hmmm...that or when I installed the Mugen Head Gasket....now I am wondering...
I do have oil around the head gasket as well.

THere is a lot of oil around the gasket...just wondering if the Mugen Gasket needed time to seat in well also.
hughhh...just thinking of evrything, and getting paranoid
