I'm just curious if the intake tube is one or two pieces. I'm trying to purchase one brand new online, and the guy says it's a 2 piece for a non-vtec teg, yet i thought all new aem cai's were one piece . If someone can clarify this for me it would be appreciated.

 

I have a GSR, but I'm pretty sure it's still a one piece for the ls. The only thing that should be different is the diameter. He might have it cut for a bypass valve, though.

 

AEM its a one pc unless you cut for bypass valve.

but most cheap ones that run under a $100.00 are two piece

so there is no way that a brand new aem cai would have 2 piece tubing right out of the box???

Shouldn't be, no. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I really think all AEM's are one piece.

 

I guess i'd better e-mail this guy again, something is not right, and $130 US shipped to canada is pretty low for a new aem cai......

That price is really low. I'd be skeptical for sure.

 

here's his response to whether it's a one or two piece:

"to answer the question re: whether the intake comes in one piece or
two, it actually does come in two pieces. it also includes some
stickers, or a sticker and i believe a license plate frame, as well as
all the gaskets and hardware needed for installation. oh, and of
course the installation instructions."

seems like a nice enough person, but the tube should be one piece.....
