Can you help identify which tranny parts I need??
Alright first off. This is the only marking on the case. Not sure whether it is a cable Y1, S1 or YS1. All I know is it came off of a B16 with no LSD.
The problem is I have a nice little grind between 2-3. I just need help figuring out what parts to order. Here goes. This one is from the main shaft, first set down from the top.
Looks to me like the synchros are a little fucked....which set are these??
This is the next set down...same thing.
Ok these are from the set holding all the gears...
And finally this...which looks to me like reverse???
As you can see things are a little tore up. I am currently doing my build up and this will be finished with a Quaife. If you guys could give me a hand with the parts that are needed it would be a great help. TIA

YS1 trannies have the little springs and ball bearings on the side of the casing.
If you got the y1 or s1 trannies then I believe you'll need to order the parts overseas as US dealers don't have parts for these trannies.
Your gears look okay. Just order the synchro set 3-4(they are a pair) if you are grinding 3rd.

Do you mean there will be ball bearings and springs on the outside of the case?? Weird....anyways...it looks to me like the gold colored synchros are pretty rounded as well as the ones above them. Which set would it be for the 3rd pic down?? I am sorry but this is the first time I have ever cracked open a tranny. Just want to make sure I cover everything the first time. Thanks so far.

try some GM syncrhomesh tranny fluid, before you go and spend some serious money. Im about 99% sure, it will cure the grind.

The teeth on your synchro are not as bad as you think because you probably haven't seen new synchros. You'll have to take apart your gear set to see the inside ribs of the synchro. If these are worn your tranny will grind.
Make sure you are able to put everything back together since doing this is tricky the first time around.
